Rotofugi Gallery is focused on showing work by both established and emerging artists in the fields modern pop, illustration art and character/toy design. As a partner/adjunct to Rotofugi Designer Toy Store, we often show artists well-known in the designer toy community, but do not limit ourselves to just designer toy creators.
Our first exhibits in 2004-5 were held in the back half of our small store and ranged from customized toy shows to more traditional paintings and drawings. While we loved showing work in our store, we began to ache for more space after nearly two years of exhibits in the increasingly cramped space. Over the next six years we moved our gallery to a seperate space and then enlarged it, finally moving in 2011 to our current location in a vintage flatiron building in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood with beautiful 14 foot ceilings and a spacious exhibit space shared with our retail store.
Over the years we have exhibited works by an impressive list of artists ranging from local Chicago artists to nationally and internationally known creators including (but certainly not limited to) Frank Kozik, Amanda Visell, Scott Listfield, Jeremiah Ketner, Ken Keirns, Coarse, Tado and well, a whole lot more.
The gallery is open 11a-7p, seven days a week. There is never an admission fee.
